Jim Carney has been a member of Simmons Olsen Law Firm since 1995. Prior to that, he was an associate from 1973 to 1978 with the firm of Beber, Richards, Riekes & Brown in Omaha, Nebraska, and later became a partner in the firm of Atkins, Ferguson & Carney in Scottsbluff, Nebraska from 1978 to 1995. He was born in Minden, Nebraska and, in 1969, received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1972, he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Creighton University School of Law.Jim ‘s practice includes estate planning, probate, real estate law and bankruptcy. He is a member of the Scotts Bluff County, West Nebraska and Nebraska State Bar Associations.
Jim and his wife, Kathy, have two grown sons. Jim fills his leisure time with golfing, hunting and other outdoor activities.
