Rick L. Ediger

Rick’s practice includes business transactions, business entities and planning, real estate, estate planning, probate and commercial law. Rick has been involved extensively in the sale and acquisition of numerous businesses including cable television transactions.

Professionally, Rick is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and currently serves on the Supreme Court-appointed Advisory Committee. He has participated as a speaker and planning chairman for Nebraska Continuing Legal Education and Nebraska College of Law seminars in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate and Banking. Rick is also a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Rick’s hometown is Aurora, Nebraska, and he graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1974 with a B.S. in Economics. Rick attended the University of Nebraska College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated in December 1976, with Distinction. He has been practicing law in Scottsbluff since April 1977. His wife, Patti is a teacher in the Gering Public Schools and they have 3 children.

Rick recently served on the Board of Governors of Western Nebraska Community College. Rick is involved in scouting having served as a Scoutmaster and District Roundtable Commissioner. In 1995, he received the District Award of Merit and was presented with the Silver Beaver Award in 1999. Rick serves as Secretary and Senior Teams Chairman of Gering Organized Baseball, and is active in his church. Rick is a past Campaign Co-Chairman of the Scottsbluff-Gering United Way, as well as a Past-President of the Scottsbluff Kiwanis Club and the Gering Jaycees. He also served as Legal Counsel for the Nebraska Jaycees.
